Opportunities for Parent Educated Children
Logos Academy is a service of Whitefield Academy. LOGOS strives to partner with parents in providing the best education for their children. LOGOS Academy offers families a structured support program to help parents maximize the benefits of a home school education. The program provides support through classes for students of all ages. Registration fee is $100 per year.
Grading: Quarterly reports will be given to the parents. LOGOS students may also take the Standardized Achievement Test in the spring of the year. This will aid parents in monitoring the progress of each child. A fee of $100 will be assessed for this testing.
Grades 2-5: Elementary students can choose to join one or more of Whitefield’s special areas. LOGOS students can participate in computer, music, art, Spanish or PE classes. These classes are offered once a week at scheduled times. Grades 3-5 may join elementary choir at the beginning of the school year. 4th and 5th grade students may participate in band or orchestra.
$250 per class / per semester
Grades 6-8: Middle school students are eligible for regularly scheduled academic classes, band, orchestra and choir. LOGOS students may join Middle School choir at the beginning of the year. Middle school students are limited to 2 academic classes.
$400 per class / per semester
Sports-Grades 5-8: Students will be eligible to play middle school sports with Whitefield teams. Sports at the varsity level are not available due to state regulations. Students playing on a team will be required to have a sports physical.
$50 athletic fee per student / sport
High School: Grades 9-12 are given the opportunity to attend the regularly scheduled classes at Whitefield Academy. LOGOS students will complete all class work according to the requirements of the course. LOGOS students may pick two courses. The following is a list of all courses offered. The list is subject to change.
